Kent Chamois Company Ltd was founded in 1981 as manufacturers and distributors of genuine and synthetic chamois leather for the UK and overseas market. The company rapidly became established as a major player in this niche market and gradually began to expand its product range to cover the new growth area of automotive brush wear.
Following a revision of the business plan during the 1990's, certain specific major multiple retail accounts were targeted as necessary to achieve greater overall penetration within the UK market. Throughout this period, the product range had been expanded and all packaging was updated to help improve the impulse purchase appeal of the Kent range.
With a strong manufacturing base the Kent Chamois Company (now trading under the brand of Kent Car Care and Kent Home Care under the brand name Cleaning Angels) became well placed to become major players in the small niche market of car care valeting products. During the last 10 years Microfibre products have been developed, which have become hugely successful in all areas "cleaning". By forming a joint venture with a manufacturing plant in China, Kent Chamois Company has maintained their lead position as major suppliers both in variety of product and product quality. Whilst genuine chamois leather remains the staple product of the company, Microfibre products for washing, cleaning, drying and polishing are rapidly becoming the largest percentage of growth on sales year per year.
As exhibitors at the Automechanika exhibition in Frankfurt every other year for the last 20 years, Kent Chamois Company have led the way with new ideas, new development and new packaging resulting in the range you will see avilable to you today.
